Game overview and premise
Moomintroll: Winter’s Warmth is a premium, narrative point-and-click adventure developed by Hyper Games. Loosely based on Tove Jansson’s beloved Moomins novels, the game centers on a young Moomintroll who wakes up much earlier than expected from hibernation and finds the valley wrapped in deep winter.
Tale and setting
The journey unfolds across a frost-covered Moominvalley. Having stirred from sleep too soon, the protagonist must travel through snowy landscapes, encounter familiar and new inhabitants, and offer help to those he meets. Along the way the story slowly reveals the history of the enigmatic Lady of the Cold and the sorrow that surrounds her.
Visual style and gameplay
Expect richly hand-drawn wintry vistas and a gentle, story-first design. The experience combines exploration with puzzle-solving elements and environmental obstacles that require observation and clever thinking rather than reflex-based action. Interactions with an engaging cast of characters drive much of the narrative progression.
Release timing and availability
As of now the title has a tentative release window set for 2026 and is not yet available to play. Keep an eye out for official updates and trailers as the launch approaches.
