Quick overview
Mixing Station is a free Android application created by davidgiga1993 that lets you operate a range of digital mixing consoles from your device. It provides a comprehensive remote control surface — not an audio workstation — so it does not generate or play sound locally. Some consoles require unlocking features via in-app purchases.
Supported consoles
- XAir and MR18 (Behringer line)
- Mackie models such as DL32S, DL16S, DL32R and DL1608
- Soundcraft Si and Vi families
- Allen & Heath ranges including SQ, Qu, dLive, Avantis and GLD
- X32 and M32 series
- Behringer WING
Interface customization
- Create and arrange multiple layers and page layouts to suit your workflow
- Reorder channels and rename mute-group labels to match your setup
- Configure up to 32 channels on a single layer
- Copy mixes between layers or channels for quick scene building
- Pop/group shortcuts for fast access to common channel sets
Metering, analysis and feedback control
- Real-time RTA overlay inside PEQ/GEQ views for spectrum checking
- Peak-hold available on all level meters, with adjustable hold times
- Historical gain-reduction display for gates and dynamics processing
- Built-in feedback detection to help identify and suppress ringing wedges
Routing and grouping tools
- Channel linking and relative-ganging to control multiple strips together
- Full routing matrix support for flexible signal paths
- Editable group and bus labels to clarify signal flow
Usage notes and limitations
- The app acts only as a control surface — it does not record, mix, or play back audio itself
- While the base app is free, additional console support or premium features may require in-app purchases
- Optimized display options (including a high-contrast mode) are available for use in bright environments
