Overview of the Mera Ration application

Mera Ration is a government-supported, free mobile application developed by the National Informatics Centre (FCA Division) to assist implementation of the One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) initiative. Its design focuses on helping ration cardholders — especially those who have moved for work — to access subsidized food supplies and related information even when they are away from their home district or state.

The app was created under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, specifically the department handling Food and Public Distribution. Its goal is to simplify ONORC-related services for beneficiaries covered by the National Food Security Act (NFSA), as well as for Fair Price Shop (FPS) operators and other stakeholders involved in public distribution.
