What it does at a glance
MenuBar Stats 2 is a flexible system monitor for macOS that puts system metrics right in your menu bar. It reports a range of information — such as battery status, memory consumption, network throughput, disk capacity, CPU load, and additional telemetry — so you can see your Mac’s health at a glance.
Main monitoring modules
- Battery — charge level, health hints and contextual alerts
- Disk — usage, free space and I/O activity
- Memory — RAM usage and swap insights
- Network — upload/download rates and interface stats
- CPU — core usage, load and per-process snapshots
Menu-bar placement and alerts
Each module can be pinned to the menu bar for instant visibility. Modules can also produce notifications — for example, the battery module can warn when it’s a good time to connect or disconnect your MagSafe adapter to help preserve battery longevity.
Layout controls and window modes
You can rearrange the modules using drag-and-drop to suit your workflow. There’s also a separate window mode that lets you inspect modules individually or view them all together; the standalone window typically exposes more detailed diagnostics for deeper analysis.
Extending functionality with plugins
The app supports plugins so you can add extra modules (fan speed, temperature sensors, etc.). In fact, the five core modules are implemented as plugins, and you can install additional ones via the plugin manager to expand the toolset.
Language support
MenuBar Stats 2 includes full localization for English, German and French, making it accessible to a broader group of users.
