Product summary
MBRRB E-Billing is an MHADA-developed application designed to replace the manual rent-collection workflow used by the TC and RT sections of the MBRR Board. It centralizes rent administration so estate managers, rent collectors, and tenants operate from a single, shared environment, improving coordination and reducing paperwork.
Core features and functions
- Each tenant is assigned a distinctive Consumer ID to ensure tenants are identified and tracked correctly.
- The system supports ward-level segmentation and captures location specifics such as building name, building number, address, flat number and floor.
- Rent collectors can record payments for current-month bills and instantly issue official receipts.
- Monthly invoices are produced automatically for every tenement in the TC/RT register; these bills are available for viewing and downloading by authorized staff.
- Daily and monthly reports can be generated for users according to the geographic or administrative area they are responsible for.
- Every invoice and receipt is stamped with a unique reference number for easy lookup and auditing.
User roles and workflow
Estate Managers (EM) and Rent Collectors (RC) share access to the platform: EMs oversee batches and settings while RCs handle on-the-ground collections and receipt issuance. The portal’s user permissions and area assignments make it simple to limit visibility and reporting to the appropriate wards or buildings.
Benefits and impact
By automating bill generation, payment recording, and report production, MBRRB E-Billing reduces manual errors, speeds up collections, and provides a clear audit trail. The system’s tenant IDs and unique document numbers improve traceability, and ward-wise organization enables targeted monitoring and performance measurement.
