Quick snapshot
Jewelish Blitz is a free browser match-3 puzzle with a simple, endless setup. There are no discrete levels or mission objectives — just a board full of colorful gems and continuous swapping until you decide to stop. Note: progress is not stored, so every new session begins from scratch.
How the game works
- Swap adjacent gems with a mouse click to align at least three identical pieces.
- When three or more line up, those gems are removed and new pieces fall into place.
- Forming chains of more than three creates powered-up gems that clear larger areas when used.
Scoring, combos, and timing
Points are awarded for every successful match, and larger combinations yield bigger scores. Additional score bonuses come from:
- Using special gems created by matching more than three pieces.
- Making matches quickly in succession, which grants speed bonuses.
- Staying in play longer — score per match can scale up over time.
Interface and assistance
The user interface is intentionally minimal. The main in-game tool is a single hint button that highlights a possible swap when you’re stuck. There are no menus of levels, no staged objectives, and no progress-saving feature.
What it does well — and what it lacks
- Great for relaxed play and quick time-fillers due to its straightforward, no-setup gameplay.
- Easy to learn: simple controls and clear visual feedback for matches and special gems.
- Lacks long-term goals or varied objectives, which can make extended sessions feel repetitive.
- No leaderboard or account-based progress means high scores don’t persist or compare across sessions.
If you want more structure
For players who prefer level-based progression, regular challenges, and social leaderboards, consider trying a more goal-driven match-3 like Candy Crush Saga, which adds staged objectives, lives, and ranked scores for competitive play.
