Instacar is a mobile service that lets you pull up vehicle data and an estimated resale price using only the licence plate. With a single plate entry you can view key information at no charge, including year of manufacture, odometer reading, technical inspection status and several other vehicle details.

How to use the app

• Enter the car's licence plate number to begin the lookup.
• Review the returned facts such as manufacturing year, recorded mileage and inspection validity.
• Results are presented quickly and are free to access after registering.

Price estimate: what the calculator evaluates

Instacar uses an AI-driven valuation engine that combines many inputs to produce a market price estimate for used vehicles. The algorithm takes into account, among other items:

• Fuel type
• Vehicle brand
• Power output (kW)
• Model designation
• Total mileage
• Year of manufacture
• More than 100 additional technical and specification attributes

Coverage, vehicle classes and assumptions

The service currently provides valuations for a defined set of vehicles and applies standard assumptions about condition when estimating value:

• Applies to cars registered in Hungary across categories M1 and M1G
• Includes the most common 582 models in the covered dataset
• Assumes standard technical and cosmetic condition when pricing
• Limits eligibility to passenger vehicles with up to seven seats
• Supports cars up to 22 years old for its valuation models

Access, cost and development status

Instacar is in a testing phase. All of its features are available to users at no charge for now, but you must create an account to use them.
