Premise and overall feel
Holstin is an upcoming action title that mixes psychological terror with survival-horror elements, set in a decaying Polish settlement stuck in the early 1990s. You play as someone searching for your missing friend Bartek, and the further you go, the more the town’s reality seems to splinter and paranoia takes hold.
Time and place
The story unfolds in late 1992, in the village of Jeziorne-Kolonia—Bartek’s last known whereabouts. The environment is collapsing both physically and mentally: slick, putrid residue seeps through the cracked pavement, local fauna is grotesquely altered, and residents appear caught between sanity and something far darker.
Hazards and survival systems
Survival is a constant concern. Supplies are scarce and many threats won’t stay down for long. Conversations with locals yield fragmented truths—cryptic hints, half-baked confessions, and unsettling ramblings—that force you to piece together what’s real and what’s a symptom of collective trauma.
Current access
The full game has not launched yet, but a free demo is available to try now if you want an early taste of the atmosphere and mechanics before release.

Final impressions
Holstin aims to blend creeping dread with gameplay that rewards careful observation and interpretation. If you prefer horror that unsettles through mood, unreliable encounters, and slow-burning mystery rather than jump-scares alone, Jeziorne-Kolonia looks poised to deliver.
