Quick summary
GTA Chaos Mod is a free add-on for Grand Theft Auto V that injects unpredictable events into the game. Every half-minute the mod selects a random effect, and many of those effects remain active for a short duration, changing encounters and challenges throughout a play session.
How it works in-game
Once installed, the mod triggers a random event roughly every 30 seconds. Selected effects can persist — commonly lasting up to about 90 seconds — and range from single-instance changes to time-limited phenomena. The mod was inspired by similar “chaos” packs made for older GTA titles and aims to make each playthrough less predictable.
Sample effects you might see
- Nearby pedestrians suddenly break into coordinated dancing routines.
- All adjacent vehicles explode or are otherwise catastrophically affected.
- The player spawns with heavy weaponry, such as an RPG, or receives other combat items.
There are roughly 300 distinct events in the collection, and some are instantaneous while others remain active for a set period.
Configuration and mod compatibility
A straightforward configuration utility is included so you can enable, disable, or tweak individual events. Keep in mind:
- Some effects may clash with other third-party modifications, particularly trainers and graphics/visual enhancement mods.
- If you prefer to run GTA V without additional mods, the base game requires ScriptHookV for this mod to function properly.
Health and safety notes
Several visual and audio events could trigger adverse reactions in sensitive players. Certain effects have the potential to provoke seizures or aggravate tinnitus. Play cautiously and stop immediately if you experience discomfort.
Is it worth installing?
If you want a more chaotic and surprising GTA V experience, this mod is an entertaining option that significantly shakes up standard gameplay. However, weigh the compatibility issues and the health warnings before adding it to your setup.
