Overview — Become a Crew Member in GTA V

GTA 5 Gang Mod is a free utility available from a popular modification site for GTA V. Instead of taking on a law-enforcement role, this mod lets you live on the other side of the law: join one of Los Santos’s crime crews, build loyalty with your allies, and wage turf battles against hostile gangs.

Choose Your Faction

Pick one of the main gangs roaming Los Santos and adopt their colors and territory:

• Vagos — street-focused, territorial groups with a strong presence in certain neighborhoods.
• Ballas — well-established rivals known for their numbers and brutal confrontations.
• Families — community-oriented crews with tight-knit members and local influence.

Once you select a gang, the other groups are treated as enemies and will react aggressively if encountered.

Recruiting and Team Interaction

Build a squad and manage relationships inside your crew:

• You can recruit up to seven teammates to follow and fight alongside you.
• Point at a pedestrian you want to recruit and press E (or the Right D-Pad) to add them to your crew.
• Use the in-game interaction menu to issue simple orders, arm teammates, and coordinate movement or engagement.

Engage in casual interactions with recruits so they become more loyal and reliable in firefights.

Starting Turf Wars and Brawls

There are several ways to provoke enemy gangs and capture resources:

• Enter enemy-held zones and eliminate three gang members within a short window (default five seconds) to trigger a gang war; this timing is adjustable in the mod’s configuration file.
• Head to map markers that show arm-blip icons—these denote hotspots where gang fights frequently break out and can be initiated automatically.

Turf conflicts are also a reliable way to pick up extra weapons and ammunition dropped by opponents.

Weapons, Resources, and Survival

You start modded sessions lightly armed, so scavenging and looting are essential:

• Early on you’ll have limited ammo and a small selection of firearms; expand your arsenal by looting, purchasing, or winning skirmishes.
• Equip your crew via the interaction menu so they can defend territory and provide backup during raids.

If you want a different multiplayer or chaos-oriented experience, consider exploring other popular suites:

• Chaos Mod V — increases unpredictability and large-scale mayhem in the city.
