GPS Waypoint Finder is a free navigation tool that helps you locate and track GPS waypoints. How the calculations work
The app combines readings from the device GPS, magnetic sensor, and accelerometer. The accelerometer is used to tilt-correct the magnetic field measurement so the heading is referenced to the horizontal plane. The result is a directional arrow and a distance readout that updates as you move. A compass ring shows current heading together with the GPS coordinates and the time.
