Overview

GeoShred Play's latest release introduces a redesigned performance surface and expanded sound options. The app now supports fluid, free-form playing gestures and a wider range of onboard instruments and presets, making it suitable for both quick improvisation and structured practice.

Free-form Playing Surface

The new performance area lets you slide your finger in any direction to shape notes and expression in real time. It’s built for continuous, touch-driven performance rather than fixed-step inputs, so you can glide between pitches and explore expressive nuances with ease.

Instruments and In-App Store

A variety of instruments come included, and additional sounds and preset packs are available for purchase from the built-in storefront. The integrated instruments are ready to use immediately, and newly acquired packs install directly into your instrument library.

Built-in Music Tools

Compose or perform with a toolkit of ready-made sound sources and rhythm options:

• Drum kits and percussive grooves
• Synths for pads, leads, and textures

Use these to jam, arrange, or accompany songs right inside the app.

Songs, Modes, and Playback

Choose from over 20 preloaded songs and backing tracks to play along with, or import your own material. You can switch between guitar and bass modes, enable the string section for layered textures, and tailor playback settings to match the arrangement you want to practice or perform.

Presets and Personalization

Create, edit, and save custom presets based on the factory sounds. You can:

• Save new combinations for quick recall
• Assign your favorite instruments and presets to specific songs or sessions

Sound Control and Fine-Tuning

Every instrument includes parameters for shaping tone and dynamics. Adjust the surface pitch to any target note, tweak frequency-related settings, and control string volume and overall output directly from the interface. These controls allow precise sculpting of timbre and performance response.
