Garmin Messenger is a complimentary iPhone application from Garmin International, listed under Travel & Navigation. It’s designed to let you maintain communication with friends and family even when traditional cellular service isn’t available, by integrating with Garmin’s satellite hardware (an active satellite subscription may be required).

• The app can still exchange messages when your paired inReach unit is powered down, provided another available connection is present.
