Premise and Setting
Flood of Light is an action-adventure title set inside a rain-lashed metropolis. You control a mysterious young woman who carries only a faint glow, navigating flooded streets and half-drowned alleys. The environment is steeped in atmosphere — constant rain, dim architecture, and a feeling of hidden histories waiting to be revealed.
Main Goal
Your central task is to bring light back to the city by activating lamp posts and carved stone beacons. Each light you restore weakens the ceaseless downpour, gradually lifting the rain’s hold and revealing new districts and secrets. As you advance, the story peels back layers of the heroine’s past and her ties to the city’s condition.
Gameplay and Puzzles
Mechanically, Flood of Light blends exploration, light-based mechanics, and occasional action sequences. Players must think tactically and search the surroundings for clues and interactable objects. Expect environmental puzzles, platforming moments, and encounters that require a mix of timing, observation, and problem-solving to progress.
Presentation and Tone
The game’s visual design and soundscape strongly support its melancholic, mysterious tone. Richly detailed scenes and careful lighting choices heighten immersion, making discovery feel meaningful. The pacing and narrative focus create an experience where atmosphere and story are as important as the gameplay itself.
