Feit Electric offers a free mobile companion to manage LED smart bulbs from the same brand. The app lets you control lights remotely, adjust appearance, and automate routines — all from your smartphone. While the feature set is useful, real-world reliability can vary.

Installing and getting started

• When you open the app you'll be asked to either sign in or create an account.
• There is a “Try Now” option to explore the interface without registering, but some functions are restricted in that mode.
• The system requires a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi connection for bulb pairing, which may cause problems on networks or devices that prioritize 5 GHz or have strict router settings.

Lighting controls and personalization

• Tap and hold a bulb icon for about two seconds to view or change that device’s detailed settings.
• Use the color picker or one of the built-in presets to choose a hue for RGB-capable bulbs.
• Adjust brightness with the sliding dimmer control.
• A circular temperature control lets you smoothly shift between warm (around 2700K) and cool (up to about 6500K) white tones.

Automation, grouping and quick actions

• Create schedules and timers to turn lights on or off at set times; you can make these repeat daily.
• Group multiple bulbs so they respond together to a single command or routine.
• From anywhere, you can remotely power lights on, switch them off, or dim them to a set level.

Voice control and network considerations

• The app integrates with popular voice assistants (Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant), enabling voice commands for compatible bulbs.
• Because the app and bulbs rely on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, you may see intermittent connectivity on networks that are split by band or heavily congested.
• Some users report that the app can be chatty on the network, consuming more bandwidth than expected.
