FAIRTIQ is a no-ticket mobile travel solution from Fairtiq AG that removes the need to buy fares in advance or to figure out zones and final stops. The app automatically determines the most economical fare for each completed trip — even if you change direction or transfer between trains, trams, and buses multiple times during the journey.

How to Use the App

Before you board, swipe the app’s Start control to begin tracking your trip. If a ticket inspector asks to see proof, tap the Show ticket button to reveal a QR code for validation. When you reach your destination, swipe Stop to finish the trip; the app will then present the optimized cost for that journey.

Companion and Ticket Sharing

A companion mode lets you generate valid fares for people traveling with you, so friends or family can be covered without separate setups for each passenger.

Where FAIRTIQ Works

The app is available for Android devices and is valid across Switzerland and Liechtenstein, as well as in selected cities in Austria and Germany.
