What this tool is for
Edit Webpage App is a freemium utility that lets you alter the visible content of any webpage locally on your device. Changes you make are stored only on your machine, so they won’t update the site’s original source and other visitors won’t see them. Also note: any edits are temporary and will be lost when the page is refreshed.
Getting started quickly
The app includes its own browser, so you can open the page you want to work on without switching apps. Enter a URL or paste a link into the address field to load the page — an active internet connection is required for this step.
How to edit text and apply formatting
Tap the pencil icon near the address bar to enable editing mode. Move the cursor over a piece of text, click it and type to replace or remove content. The edited text will inherit the original font and color by default. You can also apply basic text styles such as bold, italics, and underline.
Images, screenshots, and saving your edits
A save button next to the pencil captures a screenshot of your edited page. From there you can store the image on your device or share it through supported apps. Replacing or inserting images is available in the app, but unlocking that capability requires either watching an advertisement or upgrading via an in-app purchase.
Core features at a glance
- Replace or insert images (premium or ad-supported)
- Edit headings, body text, and article content inline
- Capture and save a snapshot of the modified page
- Make basic text styling changes while preserving existing fonts and colors
Summary
Edit Webpage App provides a straightforward way to make temporary, local edits to webpages. Its built-in browser streamlines finding pages to modify, and the screenshot/save workflow makes it easy to preserve or share your results. The image controls expand the app’s usefulness, though they are gated behind an ad or paid option.
