DQViewer for Windows

Overview

DQViewer is a purpose-built video application tailored for automotive environments. It handles real-time playback, recording and basic stream management for video sources commonly used in vehicle testing and monitoring systems. The tool is designed to integrate with Digiteq hardware and offers features that make it useful for engineers and technicians working with in-vehicle video feeds.

Supported inputs and streaming sources

• Networked video feeds, including preconfigured connections for MGB devices
• Local camera input via DirectShow (Windows) or video4linux (Linux) drivers
• Integration with Digiteq FG4 capture cards for direct hardware input

Recording, exports and output options

• Capture and save still frames as PNG images for documentation or analysis
• Read and use DEM (SRTM HGT) files for geospatial or elevation-related workflows
• Stream the same video to several output endpoints simultaneously
• Encode and store recordings using H.264 or MPEG-2 formats

Device setup and configuration

DQViewer includes settings panels for tuning FG4 grabber cards and for applying the MGB device presets, simplifying deployment in automotive test benches. These controls let you adjust capture parameters, choose preferred drivers, and switch between local and network sources without extensive manual configuration.
