DeLoraen Time Circuit recreates the look and feel of the Time Circuit Panel from the DeLorean Time Machine in the film Back to the Future. It functions as a stylish digital clock by displaying your device’s current system time as the “Present Time,” while also providing several time-related utilities and playful effects inspired by the movie.

Key functions and what they do

Destination alarm: choose a target time and the app will sound an electronic alert when that time is reached.
Present Time display: the app mirrors your iPhone or iPod’s system clock and presents it in the Time Circuit style for use as a dashboard clock.
Last departure record: the app keeps track of the moment you last launched it and shows that as the “Last Time Departed.”
Time-gap calculator: a dedicated screen breaks down the interval between Present and Destination times into seconds, minutes, hours, days, and weeks.
88 MPH simulation: an optional feature uses GPS to monitor vehicle speed and triggers sound effects and the Destination Time swap when 88 MPH is attained.
Direct entry and touch adjustments: change the Destination Time by tapping just above or below the digits, or use a numeric keypad with AM/PM options.

Using the 88 MPH simulation — safety and compatibility

This speed-based effect requires a built-in GPS chip to determine your real-time velocity. It is best supported on iPhones and devices with a hardware GPS; it may not function reliably on iPods or iPads that lack 3G/GPS hardware.

Important safety note: reaching 88 miles per hour on public roads is illegal and dangerous in most places. Use this feature responsibly — only in safe, legal environments (for example, on a closed course) or not at all while driving.

Navigating the Time-gap screen

Tap the label marked DIST to open the screen that calculates how much time separates the Present Time from your Destination Time. The display converts the difference into a clear breakdown (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks), so you can quickly understand the interval at a glance.

Changing the Destination time

Tap slightly above or below the numerals shown on screen to nudge individual values up or down.
Alternatively, bring up the keypad to type in a precise time and set AM/PM as needed.

Compatibility tips and limitations

Best experience: iPhone models and devices with a true GPS receiver.
Limited or no GPS functionality: iPods and Wi‑Fi–only iPads may not support speed-based features.
The app otherwise functions as a time-display and alarm tool on any compatible iOS device.
