Quick synopsis

Deceit, developed by Baseline, is a free-to-play first-person action shooter that centers on suspicion and survival. Six players are placed in an unfamiliar environment and secretly assigned one of two roles: innocent or infected. The game challenges you to figure out who to trust while competing to stay alive.

How the game works

Players must either cooperate to reach safety or, if infected, sabotage and eliminate the innocents without being exposed. Rounds include social deduction and direct combat, and survivors use voting to remove players they believe are compromised. Level design and blackout events

Matches progress across three distinct zones. At the close of each area a blackout occurs — during which infected players can shift into a more dangerous “terror” state and launch aggressive attacks. These transitions create spikes of intensity that force rapid changes in strategy.
