How to create and protect a vault

1. Open Cryptomator and create a new vault in the location you prefer.
2. Set a robust password for the vault — longer passphrases are safer than short passwords.
3. Optionally enable biometric unlocking (fingerprint/Face ID) for quicker yet secure access on supported devices.
4. Unlock the vault to mount it as a secure folder; any files placed in that mounted folder are encrypted automatically.
5. When finished, lock the vault to ensure the encrypted files remain protected.
