Remote access to your workstation from mobile devices
Citrix Workspace is a mobile workspace client that lets you run your company’s virtual desktop and cloud-hosted apps from a phone or tablet. Built by Citrix Systems, the app preserves compatibility with earlier Citrix clients and with existing Citrix server setups. Note: access requires that your employer has enabled the service for your account.
Suggested alternative app
FamApp — Spend with UPI & Card (Free) is listed as a recommended substitute. If your organization permits or you’re looking for a different mobile solution for some tasks, you might evaluate this option alongside Citrix Workspace.
How to sign in and start using the app
- Launch the app, choose “Get Started,” then supply the server address or corporate email your IT team gives you.
- Log in with the username and password assigned by your organization and select the apps or desktops you need.
- If you encounter access problems, contact your company’s IT helpdesk as the first step.
- After signing in you can personalize which applications appear and adjust settings to suit your workflow.
Managing accounts and administrator controls
- Administrators can add several user accounts from the Settings area by selecting the account management option.
- To modify or remove an existing account, open the Store section in the app where account edits are available.
- The client supports multiple profiles so IT teams can configure access for different departments or user roles.
Getting help and reporting problems
- In-app troubleshooting: go to Settings → Support → Request Help from Support to generate a diagnostic email (it will include a log file) that you can forward to your IT staff.
- To contact Apple’s App Store team, tap the app’s reviews and select App Support.
- For community discussions or developer assistance on Citrix forums, you must sign in with a forum account to post.
New: multiple workspace URLs and what it enables
A recent update lets administrators create up to 10 workspace subdomains under a primary URL. Each subdomain can have its own:
- branding, authentication rules, and applications
- dedicated desktop pools and tailored access policies
This capability simplifies access control, lets different departments present a distinct login experience, and can help tighten security by isolating resources.
Touch input and usability notes
Citrix Workspace aims to keep mobile work simple by consolidating cloud files, SaaS apps, and virtual desktops into a single interface. However, touch navigation can be finicky: precise scrolling and interacting with small drop-down controls sometimes requires more accuracy than a fingertip provides. Despite that limitation, it remains a useful tool for working remotely on the go.
