App snapshot
Bump, made by amoamoamo (known as amo), is an Android social app for staying connected with friends. It lets small groups find each other quickly by sharing live locations on a map. The app was built by members of the team behind Zenly and aims to be an intuitive, friend-focused alternative for meetups.
How it works
Users add friends and choose to share their current location in real time. Each person’s position appears on a map, and you can view short status details such as how long someone has been in a spot and their phone’s remaining battery. To coordinate an in-person meetup, the app includes a physical “bump” gesture — shake phones together to trigger a group notification that signals it’s time to gather.
Standout features
- Live map view so you can see friends’ locations instantly
- Extremely low power usage to preserve battery during extended sharing
- Quick status indicators showing visit duration and battery percentage
- Physical “shake together” meet-up trigger that notifies the group
- Built by the original Zenly crew, aiming for a simple, people-first experience
- Free to download on Android and optimized for friend groups
Why people use it
Bump is aimed at groups who want an effortless way to meet and stay aware of each other without constant texting. Its focus on battery efficiency and one-touch meet-up signaling makes it useful for days out when coordinating multiple people matters.
