BIS CARE APP for iPhone

App overview

BIS CARE is a complimentary iPhone application published by the Bureau of Indian Standards. It is designed to help consumers quickly check whether product certification marks are genuine and to report concerns about product quality or misuse of marks.

What you can do with the app

• Lodge complaints about poor-quality goods, incorrect use of certification marks, or deceptive quality claims by providing details and supporting files.
• Look up product certification by entering the license number, HUID, or registration code printed on the item.
• View specifics tied to the certification, such as the manufacturer’s name and address, the current validity and scope of the licence/registration, the brands included, and the present licence status.
• Check the purity information provided for jewellery pieces where such data is available.

How to submit a grievance

1. Open the Complaints section and choose the category that best matches your issue.
2. Complete the form with the required information and attach any photos or documents that support your claim.
3. Send the complaint through the app.

After submission you will receive an acknowledgement that includes a unique complaint reference via SMS and email. The appropriate BIS unit will review the case and act according to the prevailing procedures to provide resolution.

Jewellery purity and other details

The app also surfaces declared purity details for jewellery articles when that information has been registered. Use the same search fields (license/HUID/registration) to access this data alongside the manufacturer and licence information.

• The app is free to download and use for iPhone users.
• Related listings sometimes reference other mobile apps such as Battlegrounds Mobile India (free) in app directories, but that title is unrelated to product certification or consumer grievances.
