BakaXL for Windows

What BakaXL provides

BakaXL is a free launcher for Windows that aims to modernize the way you start and organize games. Instead of a basic launcher, it gives players extensive control over appearance and behavior, letting them shape the interface without paying for theme tools. Its overall design focuses on personalization and a smoother user experience.

Appearance and personalization

BakaXL puts visual customization front and center:

• Animated wallpapers that react and move while you navigate the launcher
• A built-in theme editor so you can create and apply custom skins at no extra charge
• Layered parallax motion to add depth and a more dynamic feel to menus and backgrounds

These options are designed to make the launcher feel more lively and tailored to each user.

Mod loader compatibility

If you use mods, BakaXL supports the major ecosystems:

• Compatible with Forge and Fabric mod loaders
• Notably the first launcher to add official support for Quilt and NeoForge
• Broad mod support helps accommodate different modding preferences and setups

This range of compatibility makes it suitable whether you stick to established loaders or try newer ones.

Social and multiplayer features

BakaXL includes built-in social tools via the BakaXL Network, which lets you connect with friends, share sessions, and launch multiplayer games together without complicated setup. The networking features are meant to simplify meeting up and coordinating play.

Alternative option

Suggested alternative: SHAREit (free) — an option some users consider for file transfer and sharing needs alongside launcher use.
