Game premise
After Inc: Revival is a strategy title from Ndemic Creations that puts you into a world years after the Necroa Virus devastated humanity. Instead of spreading a pathogen, this entry follows survivors trying to rebuild civilization from the ruins of a zombie-ravaged United Kingdom. The story continues the timeline established by Plague Inc., shifting the focus from collapse to recovery.
Main mechanics
The gameplay emphasizes managing scarce resources, expanding settlements, and making difficult governance choices that shape the long-term fate of your people. Unlike earlier entries that centered on destruction, After Inc: Revival rewards players who steer their communities toward a hopeful outcome.
Settlement construction and growth
You’ll scavenge for materials across the wasteland to establish and improve communities. Each settlement can be customized with buildings that meet needs and give citizens purpose. Examples of deployable structures include:
- Lumberyards and other resource production facilities
- Farms to secure food supplies
- Housing for the growing population
- Various specialized buildings to support industry, health, and morale
As you develop your towns, you’ll balance infrastructure with social policy, choosing whether to rule with strict control or pursue democratic solutions.
Leadership and defense
Each new settlement gives you the opportunity to enlist leaders — up to ten — each with distinct abilities and upgrade paths. You’ll assign them roles, level their skills, and rely on their strengths to protect and guide communities. Although the focus is reconstruction, hostile infected still pose a constant threat that must be driven back through strategy and preparation.
Art direction and series continuity
The game retains the visual language familiar to Plague Inc. fans: stylized character art, consistent animations, and cohesive world-building that reinforce the narrative link between the two games while maintaining its own identity.
Limitations
A notable drawback is that the game’s text and menus are currently available only in English, which may limit accessibility for non-English speakers despite strong strategic systems and storytelling.
