What this utility does
ADB AppControl is a Windows application that communicates with Android devices using the ADB protocol. It gives you desktop-based control over many device settings and app-related tasks, including the ability to remove factory-installed apps that are normally protected from uninstallation.
How to get started
- Enable Developer Options on the Android device, then turn on USB Debugging.
- Plug the device into your PC with a USB cable. The first time you connect, the phone or tablet will ask you to allow the PC to use ADB — accept that prompt to grant access.
- Once authorized, the application can interact with the device and its installed applications.
Main capabilities
- Remove unwanted preinstalled (system) apps that are otherwise not removable.
- Create backups of apps and their data for safe keeping or restoration.
- Adjust app permissions and other configuration settings with a few clicks.
- Browse every installed application on the device, including both user apps and system apps.
- Copy app display names and package identifiers for reference or documentation.
Free alternative recommendation
If you prefer a different option for establishing ADB functionality on your PC, consider the free ADB Driver Installer as a recommended alternative.
