How the rounds work

Scoring details

1. Time bonus: finishing the full set with leftover time grants extra points — you earn 5 points for every 0.1 second remaining after you submit all 20 answers.
2. Letter values: each typed word also scores by letter position — the first letter is worth 1 point, the second is 2 points, and every subsequent letter is valued at 3 points each.
3. Per-answer increment: on top of the letter totals, each response gives a base score equal to its ordinal position in the round (the 1st answer = 1 point, 2nd = 2 points, etc.).
