Looks like the check was added in rev 1601, then support for libpano12 was removed in 1760 and then added back in at 1778 with a note that libpano12 isn't tested. All the revisions were before the bug was filed, so I'm guessing this broke compatibility with some versions of libpano. Assigned to Pablo d'Angelo because it's his code. Randall, were you ever able to build Hugin?.

This isn't actually a bug, so I'm closing it. If you are still having trouble getting automake and autoconf to work with Hugin, I am sure you can get some help from the Hugin user's mailing list.

If you are running a Hugin build out of Subversion, can you turn on debug logging and post the results? Can you post your email address so you can be contacted if more information is needed? What were you upgrading from?.

I could not reproduce this problem with Hugin 0.6.1. What OS were you running on? Did you use a precompiled hugin, or did you compile it yourself? Can you attach a small project file or stitcher script that causes this problem when stitched?.
