hmm.. can't add more files. So here goes cut&paste. Note the newline error can not be placed here this way, so you will have to export from an office package yourself. To do that, import the testcase, go to the RIPE line, in the comment press control-enter to insert newlines, export CSV. The newline character shows up as a box character in a text editor.

Hi,
I can confirm the bugfixed exe works. No more crash with test case.
I tried an expanded test case of 127 records: it imported 115 ignored 12 (no reason given, no way of knowing which records were ignored).
For kicks I did another test to find out what was missing:
1) Records with newlines in the notes get parsed as multiple records and the extra lines are ignored (see RIPE test...

Did you add .MP4 to the valid extensions in the GUI?
If you use the command line version then you should add this:
/e:".mp3 .m4p .m4a .m4b .mp4 .mpg .mpeg .m4v .mov .aac"
Also iTunes ignores some files if they have square brackets in them "[" or "]". If you batch add them with iTLU, then iTunes will silently fail. You can check that by dragging and dropping one of the files to iTunes...

Temporary workaround, use the command line version and append:
>>iTLU.log 2>&1
to the command.
Note that iTLU only outputs changes, so this is not equivalent to a full log file.
See: http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/batch.mspx?mfr=true
Example:

Temporary workaround, use the command line version.

The individual music files do not have a rating (AFAIK).
However as a feature to share ratings between multiple users this would be a very nice feature.
Example:
Both I and my wife access the same music files on a shared drive. We each rate our music, which is stored in the iTunes DB. We use the following rating system:
0 Stars = Not rated
1 Star = Bad, delete me
2 Stars = Ok...

Need more details. When windows gives you an exception error it will give you an option for more details (with all sorts of technical stuff). Please copy this and post it with the error report.
