  • dependency on JXP version 1.2.0

The JPF 1.5.1 source distribution contains a jxp jar that is mostly JXP version 1.2.0. That is, it doesn't exactly match the released 1.2.0, but instead includes commons.invoke and commons.java and doesn't include some of the JXP tests found in JXP v1.2.0. My question is whether there are any plans to upgrade JPF to use the more recent versions of JXP like 1.6.1, or if such updates would be...

  • Comment: userId length limited to 10 characters

Of course you are 100% correct; we were given incorrect credentials. Thank you for your response, and my apologies for the noise.

  • userId length limited to 10 characters

First a disclaimer - I have little AS400 experience, so perhaps this should be like this. I've been given ODBC connection information that includes a userId of 12 characters, but I'd prefer to use jt400.jar and connect directly with JDBC. However line 384 in AS400.java throws an exception if the userId is longer than 10 characters. I have to believe that the longer userId provided is correct,

  • Comment: 2.7.1 configure error on Slackware 11

I probably need to build a Slackware system. I'm building on Debian, which has never required the -lz -lstdc++ flags to build against id3lib (even before the build system was revamped by twb), and so I've never run into these difficulties directly, only second-hand through bug reports. What I believe is happening is that id3lib requires libstdc++ to link against, so the undefined references...

  • Comment: Typos in GENREID strings: id3.c

Err.. development did kind of stop for a long while there. id3.c has been removed from the source tree and the build uses the ID3v1 genres distributed with id3lib, so this should no longer be an issue.

Hmmm.... I'm not able to reproduce this locally. Can you tell me what OS/distribution you're using for the build?.

  • Comment: 2.7.1 configure error on Slackware 11

ripperX should only require id3lib (http://id3lib.sourceforge.net/). I'll track down and update references to libID3. Please try running ./autogen.sh to regenerate the ./configure script. Or (preferably), please reattempt your build with the 2.7.2 release. The only difference between 2.7.1 and 2.7.2 is to address some problems with the auto-generated files.
