What's happening?

  • can't access menu extra

    I'm trying to run version 3.0.3 on a Powerbook G4 with Mac OS X 10.5.5. When Change Desktop launches, the desktop pic DOES change, and the menu extra appears along with the license agreement. As long as I don't touch the License Agreement, I can at least access the menu extra and see the options, but selecting any of the options (e.g. preferences) doesn't seem to do anything.   • customize/hide/disable buttons

    Is there a way to disable buttons in Compiere 2.5.3 for certain roles? e.g. 1: We want to allow a role to make changes to Products, but not Delete any records. Can we disable/hide the trash can button for that role? e.g. 2: We want our order takers to only be able to Prepare or Complete a sales order, but not Void or Close. Is there a way to do this? e.g. 3: On the Print Preview page...

    Pete, yes, that's exactly what I mean. Sorry if I didn't make that clear in the first place. And if it makes any difference, I'm talking about a system-wide default, though if it can only be done on the user level, I can work with that as well.

    Thanks for the reply, Albert. I've looked through the documentation and I've looked through the preferences and couldn't find any mention of how to set the default value for a checkbox. I've tried right-clicking on the checkbox itself and right-clicking on the checkbox label and no context menu shows up. I'm thinking there has to be a way to do this, but I can't figure it out.   • default values for checkboxes

    Hi, is there a way to set a default value for a checkbox? e.g. in the Location tab of the Business Partner screen, I want to set the global default value for the Invoice Address, Pay-From Address, and Remit-To Address as unchecked. Is there a way to do this? I can right-click on fields to set the value preference, but can't seem to find similar functionality for the checkboxes.
