If you look at details about PECompact, you will see:
http://www.bitsum.com/pecompact.php
=== quote start ===
Compressed executables can be matched to debug symbols by debuggers like Visual Studio. PECompact is unique in this proper handling of the debug directory.

Very useful, don't you think?!

I guess Debug Info can still be unpacked in runtime so that debugger will recognize it.
I believe PECompact from http://www.bitsum.com/ claims that it is able to do that somehow.
If it is possible, that would be a useful feature to add to UPX.

Thanks, Yamagata. Can you please provide more details on that "query interface" method? Which part of source code I should be looking at?
Having some general API for configuring ffdshow on the fly would be a great asset. Because in most cases when you use ffdshow as part of some software product targeted for non-technical end user, you can not instruct them how to setup codec. Your...

Can I change ffdshow settings programatically from my application?
In other words, if in my application I want to use specific encoder through ffdshow vfw interface, can I do that without manually modifying ffdshow encoder settings?
Thanks,
Mike.

Yes and No.
Readme file is obsolete but you still can not compile MP with latest libraries.
I think latest version of code is compiled with
PWLib Janus patch 2 (v1.6.6.1) and OpenH323 Janus patch 2 (v1.13.5.1)
You can download them here: http://www.voxgratia.org/downloads.html#prev_stable.
