may it makes sense to check Atom publishing protocol draft? Or query for existing blog entry with tags via raw XML? thing is - tags are there, so they could be in XML respond in "native form", but this is just guess...

ok, I will try rt2x00... but if it is too "wet" (too far from basic maturity) - I'd rather to switch back and get down to rt2570... I mean I like experiments, but for what I see so far (epxlanations with driver load order, etc) - it makes me thinking you are only in beginning of way. That's not a driver for home laptop.

ok, more news...
after power cycle, the below described "modprobe way" did NOT worked until I have done at least once it with debug=5 parameter, so I could conclude so far that "debug=5" has some difference in driver initialization than "no debug=5".

I have very similar situation...
preconditions - same source tarball, USB WiFI AirStation g54 Buffallo, Thinkpad T23 with Ubuntu, kernel 2.6.15-27-686 (btw, Ubuntu has kernels built with gcc 3.4, so driver had been built only after adding GCC := gcc-3.4 into Makefile!)...
AccessPoint is Zyxel (I know, they sucks because firmware authors definitey on high)
System Name: P660HW-61_EN
