Since I upgraded a production machine to kvm-84, a few of my guests have started segfaulting (apparantly) randomly. I don't know if it correlates with slightly higher load or disk I/O than usual. I've not been able to identify a pattern in the crashes. I get lots of these in my dmesg:
[9828895.668024] kvm[16372]: segfault at 29c rip 431f87 rsp 7fffc8cb8a70 error 4
[9828892.784692] kvm[16375]:

Would it be possible to take over a clearly dormant account? In particular, I'd love to be able to take over the account named "soren".

Sorry about the delay. Yes, this is fixed with kvm-72. Thanks very much!

This time I add "-verbose 99" to X's command line. It seems quite a bit more useful now :)

I tried starting X from ssh, so I got this output:
This is a pre-release version of the X server from The X.Org Foundation.
It is not supported in any way.

When trying to boot an Ubuntu Intrepid amd64 (x86_64) live CD, the guest hangs when starting X. I've narrowed it down to the new version of X. It works when booting with -no-kvm.
I'm afraid that's all the info I have right now.

To reproduce, fetch e.g. the Fedora 9 live cd: http://download.fedoraproject.org/pub/fedora/linux/releases/9/Live/i686/Fedora-9-i686-Live.iso
Starting kvm as:
kvm -drive file=Fedora-9-i686-Live.iso,if=ide,media=cdrom,boot=on
fails with a syslinux error "Attempted DOS system call".
Starting kvm as:
kvm -drive file=Fedora-9-i686-Live.iso,if=ide,media=cdrom -boot d
works fine.

Alpha 3 is set for January 10th, so as early as possible after new year's would be really good. Any later than Friday the 4th of January would be stretching it a bit.
Thanks for looking into this!
