  • Followup: RE: Can't understand the Scheduler

Are you assigned as a project manager in the project? If so look into the "Overheads" tasks - it will assign 100% of your time to managerial overheads and leave you no time on your other roles. I think the default for scrum master role is something like 20%, which may be too high for you depending on your setup, also if you are used to building in the scrum overheads to your...

  • Followup: RE: is https connection to svn server supported

I can say that I have XProcess running against an HTTPS repository. I do have another repository on the same server that I use for development, which is also HTTPS, and the fact that I connected to it previously using Eclipse + the Subversive SVN Plugin may have cached the information in the svn authentication cache differently than Tortoise does. My HTTPS connection is self signed, so if it...

  • Comment: More than one Project in Project Manager View.

This certainly seems close to what I was thinking about. Now that I am familiar with how to switch projects it isn't too bad, but if this works as described it might be close to what I was thinking about. It seems like it would be a good start to really using the portfolio concept to help organize multi-project structures.

  • Idea: JSR 223 Scripting Support.

This is probably not going to be very high on the list of priorities, but its something that occured to me while working on editing some of the OGNL expressions used in the actions. I'd probably mainly stick to javascript myself, but it would allow someone to get into adding actions without needing to scan through the OGNL documentation - not that it seems that difficult, but it would be sort...

  • Fearture Request: Import Task Lists

I am currently migrating to xProcess from a different tool, where we have a library of several hundred (mostly completed) Stories, Tasks, etc... I am currently planning on entering in forward looking items, and then gradually moving the most important old data in by manually re-entering it. Even if it wasn't perfect it would be really useful for this if xProcess had a way to import task lists...

  • Comment: More than one Project in Project Manager View.

Yes, the data source explorer works, but I think the functionality I was thinking on, and maybe it doesn't make sense for most users, is the ability to have multiple (but maybe not all) projects 'open' in the project explorer view.

  • Followup: RE: Sharing project using SVN

I would expect this to be the case. In SVN creating a new repository is a different operation, supported by a different tool (svnadmin). As far as I know the ability to browse a parent path (e.g. the SVNParentPath) is a convience feature which produces a list of the available repositories, but does not respond (at the parent path level) to actual SVN commands. P.S. Aside from a few weird...

  • More than one project or only one?

I have multiple projects for which I am responsible. I try to keep just one on the 'front burner', although this doesn't always work. Leaving out the nastiness inherent to juggling projects, I believe my two main needs are: 1) Input backlog items into a project which is not currently "on the front burner", e.g. as ideas or non-critical issues come up. This would obviously work...

  • More than one Project in Project Manager View.

I'm working to get up-to-speed on using xProject, and item that would really help me was if the project explorer view allowed you to open more than one project at a time (e.g. all projects for which you're a manager). I think for now I may end up spending most of my time in the Process Engineer perspective just because I can see all the projects that I need at one time. While I occasionally...

  • Followup: RE: Using Scrum 3.0.4?

Thanks. Your right that I managed to figure out most of for myself - right after I posted the question. I hope this may help other adopters. I think the main part that confused me was that since the project setup has a place to enter the overhead % I never considered looking at the overheads until almost by accident I did and realized what must be going on. I'm sure I'll be posting back...
