No change from iBCS-3.1 when executing an SCO Unix application. As was the case with the previous version, the database server process silently dies. Yet, the application runs just fine in single user mode. I will send you the execution trace.

My thanks again to Ed Reed for providing a well written howto on the steps to apply the patch.
I can add that Ed's linux-abi-2.6.16.21-SUSE.diff.bz2 patch applies cleanly to the current Suse10.1 kernel source - 2.6.16.27-0.6-default.

This patch applies cleaning to the 2.6.16.13-4 kernel of
OpenSUSE10.1. All hunks succeeded. The patched kernel
compiles without error.

I appreciated reading your very complete explanation of the
steps involved and alternatives available to apply your
patch and build the new SUSE kernel.
I also like the steps that you have taken to cater to the
often vexing REGPARM issue.
Thank you for all that you have done here. Very helpful for
a lot of people, I am sure.
