Thanks christian for your answer. What I am trying to do is to login a user against a database and to store and administrate the permission using the database. Is it possible to do that with JGuard? I saw the standalone samples and apparently it is needed to modify the java policy file, is that really necessary for an standalone application?

I am evaluating JGuard and I would like to use it with a none web based application, is it possible to use JGuard for authentication and authorization in an application? Is there anywhere samples about how to do that?
