  • Followup: RE: MicroDVD support

Hi, Are there any messages printed to the console, if you run Gnome Subtitles from a terminal?.

  • Followup: RE: combining 2 files

Hi, Such a feature has been requested before, but Gnome Subtitles doesn't support have it yet. OTM, unfortunately that should be the only "doable" way.

  • Followup: RE: Change video size

Hi, Can you please describe the problem you're facing in more detail? You can move the slider in the bottom of the video to change its size, but I'm not sure this is what you're looking for.

  • Followup: RE: Removing HI captions

Hi, Unfortunately there's currently no way to do that. Perhaps when Gnome Subtitles has an "auto-correct" feature, it should include something like that. Regards.

  • Followup: RE: How to synchronize from scratch?

If you want to track progress on this, be sure to check the following bug report, which mentions Media...

  • Followup: RE: request "remember last Character Coding"

Thanks for the info, the problem is precisely that auto-detection fails to detect any encoding, so it reverts to the "fallback" encoding, which is windows-1252. I think the fallback encoding should also be an option, going to add it to the bug report.

  • Followup: RE: request "remember last Character Coding"

Hi, When you open a subtitle file you have the possibility to use a specific encoding, if you opt not to use auto-detection. The same thing goes to when you save subtitles. The possibility to always use a specific encoding has been requested for development and included in the bug report I mentioned before. What you're asking, please clarify, is a way to specify the encoding when opening...

  • Followup: RE: request "remember last Character Coding"

No problem. By the way, it would be useful if you could paste the output of running Gnome Subtitles from a terminal. It will display the encoding that was automatically detected, useful to compare with the encoding that *should* have been detected.

Hi, I've added this info to an existing bug report (http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=504656). Be sure to watch that bug for future developments. Regards, -Pedro.
