Hello, I also have access again to my pen, so if there is anything that I can help with testing, I can help, too. Best, Nico

Hey Denis, thanks a lot for the heads up! I changed the interval for the moment and will test with the 60 second delay for the next days. If there is a way to motivate you / give you time to work on xournal, the company "ungleich.ch" that I am working for, is committed to improve the open source software that is being used in the company. As I am using xournal for private and commercial uses, I could ask if there is a chance of sponsoring some of your time. In any way, thanks for creating the great...

It seems like disabling auto save fixes the problem for me, I have not been able to reproduce slowness so far anymore. I wonder: is xournal single threaded / single process or are you compressing the svg in a separate process?

Jason, I have to say that there is a huge difference in number of occurences: with the bamboo it happens maybe once every couple of minutes (let's say 5-30), while with the active pen it happens every few seconds. So with the bamboo I have to cleanup the dots or incorrect strokes rarely, while the the stylus it is sometimes hard remove the dots, as they occur during some setting almost every time I near the pen the display. That said, I am still waiting for a stylus replacement (ETA 18.09!) and will...

For me...

Testing right now: 100% drawing is fine 225% zoom gets sluggish, some characters appear after ~0.3-0.4s 506% (my usual mode) about 5-8s delay, when drawing/writing more than a simple stroke - it usually starts to intensify Happens both on continous page or one page view. I am using i3 (no gnome) and the finger touch is disabled by default :-) So the reason for drawing at 506% and using the smallest line width is for exam preperation, where thin and a lot of content is important. However I often draw...
