  • Comment: ECM in Double Blind games -> wrong hit roll reporting

    Correct, the ECM field covered the spotter, not the firing unit. My suggest was that the status for the spotter should show that it is in an ECM field, though the extent of that field shouldn't show on the map (because that gives away the location of the ECM unit). This is of course rather secondary to the fact that the C3 bonus should not have been shown during target selection, although...

    for the sake of completeness - that's exactly what I was doing, except the modal dialogue box was being hidden behind the main menu and wasn't showing in the start bar, so I never knew it was there.

    workaround - turn off some of your heat sinks, which works unless you need to gain more than your engines generate.

  • Main window hangs when disconnecting

    When disconnecting from a game, MM correctly displays the main menu again, but none of the buttons work and the only way to exit is to kill the javaw process. I'm using Sun JRE 1.5.0_10, I've also seen others complain of the same bug. Attached log suggests an exception in the closing of the connection, although from the server side everything appears to have disconnected properly.

  • Vehicle crits shown even when vehicle is not visible

    In a Double Blind game, all damage to units the player cannot see is correctly hidden from them in the round report. However, vehicle crits ARE shown, even if the unit is not visible. Mech crits are not. This can cause an awful lot of confusion too, as there are no blank lines before the crit is shown. eg. Weapons fire for Bossman BS-1K (Modest Genius) ER PPC at Kisasi MBT #2...

  • Pilot ejecting into water becomes immobile

    - pilot ejects into water - pilot cannot now move - pilot sits there treading water indefinitely I'm not sure what the actual rules are for this situation, but either the pilot should have been able to climb out of the water into a neighbouring land hex, or he should drown.

    Ok, here's what happens: Player A has a C3 network Player B has an ECM Double blind Player A moves one of his C3 units close to one of Player B's units. Another of Player A's C3 units gets a nice easy to-hit roll during the firing phase because of the C3 network. However, unbeknownst to Player A, the C3 spotter is covered by Player B's ECM field.
