I don't have radio card, I would like to use only internet (online) radio -- however Kradio actually forces user to worry about radio card and shows a lot of errors I don't have /dev/radio device. I know I don't have it, because I don't have radio card -- all settings related to radio card is not relevant to me at all -- thus it would be useful to disable them and get rid off irrelevant error...

I am glad you are positive about this feature. Unfortunately I don't of any existing format -- but well, if it does not exists yet, time to be the first :-)

No, does not seem so. My local .joerc has general -force off (this option has leading space) and only for several file types -- cpp, h, p, pas -- it has -force on (w/o leading space). But joe adds EOL in all files.

STORY:
It becomes unnerving common behaviour from software companies to include piracy countermeasures in software, which actually prevents making backup copies of CDs/DVDs. Add this to the fact those companies are not very customer-friendly when ordering backup copy from them and you will get that punished person is not a "pirate" but a customer.
The oldest, the most trivial, yet still...

I switched to this mode, but it cannot grow -- it is already maximized. But this option does what it says "it adds black borders". But in this context of course it is not suitable -- there is room to show subtitles.

I am not saying the name of the filter is incorrect. I am saying it would be good to add such values to subtitles position
* top of the movie, top of the player, middle, bottom of the movie, bottom of the player
so user could focus on what task she/he has in mind, not how smplayer solves this issue.
But back to problem:
Let's denote smplayer frame by =# and movie frame with |-.
So, normally I...

True.

Hmm, just (probably naive approach)
if (get_focus && paused_on_minimize_before)
resume_playback();.

Could you please reopen this report -- it is true that adding black borders allows to show subtitles below the movie, but it also shrinks entire video. So it is not solution really.
The point is to show subtitles below the movie without shrinking it -- i.e. using _already_ existing unused space, not making even more space just for subtitles.
And another story is -- usability. The path from...
