This is a known issue with writing very large Workbooks. There are plans to address it in future releases, but no timetable currently.

You can't. Excel 97-2003 is limited to 255 characters of text per cell. See
[Microsoft's Excel Team comments on these limitations and how they changed in Excel 2007][1]

I am closing this unless/until there is a repro case (file) provided.

This particular problem will be impossible to track down without a file with which to reproduce it. Can you provide one? Where did this file come from (Excel 97? 2007? generated by another utility?) Does it happen on all files or just this one (what if anything is unique about the file)? All files of a particular size?
Without more information there is nothing I can do.

There is now a Silverlight 2.0 version of MyXls, as requested in the forums, and outlined at http://blog.in2bits.org/2009/08/20/MakingSilverlightExcellent.aspx !

This is done! As outlined in my blog post at http://blog.in2bits.org/2009/08/20/MakingSilverlightExcellent.aspx there is a preview (and an example of how to use the) Silverlight 2.0 MyXls assembly. It will be included as a part of the regular release package with the next release.
