Fink Version:
Package manager version: 0.27.9
Distribution version: 0.8.1.rsync i386
Bash-completion package version: 20060301-2
The bash completion functions are sourced into the shell via the script /sw/etc/profile.d/bash-completion.sh. The completions are only loaded if the following conditions are true:

Yes, I had network access when I launched iTerm.
I haven't managed to reproduce the problem since I first reported it, but I'll let you know if I do.

Launching a freshly downloaded copy of iTerm 0.9.3, I was presented with the terminal window and an empty dialog box which just contained No and Yes buttons. The attached screenshot will show the details.
I have tried earlier versions of iTerm, so it is asking something to do with preferences?.
