Hello,
Is there an update on the possibility of adding this feature to xournal ? If this were implemented, it could end up making xournal almost a complete replacement for Adobe Acrobat (which is not available for linux in any case).
Thanks, and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the quick response.
Managing a bunch of separate xoj files will be about as messy as managing a bunch of separate pdf files. What does one do if one needs to save a pdf copy of the annotated document. No doubt it can be done using pdfjoin / pdftk etc., but it is still going to be a mess.
Instead, why not arrive at the following compromise :
Provide an additional editing mode...

Hello,
I have used xournal ever since my MIT days. It is a unique application (wish itwas Qt based) that has allowed me to organize my annotations to research papersand reduce the clutter in my office.
Recently, over the summer, we (mis)used the services of a few undergrads to scan in some old lab manuals that are still used by the members of our group from time to time. The manuals in...

Would it be possible for someone to comment on this ? The task of downloading the PDF and then uploading it to the local webserver is needlessly tedious.

Many people, including me, use a RSS feed to keep in touch with their favourite publications. I was wondering if aigaion could be integrated with something like Akregator (which I use) so that if I wish to add an entry to my database, along with attachments, I could do that with a single click.
I know this is a somewhat fuzzy request as there is no unique way to implement something like this...

Hello,
I was wondering if aigaion could incorporate two links for opening pdf attachments. Let me explain why I am suggesting this :
I currently use aigaion to keep track of the interesting papers I find during study, and also use it read them.
I use kpdf / adobe reader to read them, but sometimes, I need to make annotations to the pdf. I use xournal (with a Wacom stylus + tablet) to do...

Hi Wietse,
Since you ask me only about the completeness (and not correctness - I have no idea about some of the elements you list), the array is not complete. You need to add the following elements :
'%A', // Authors in the order 1st author - last author
'%@', // ISSN
'%+', // Affiliation (presumably for the corresponding author / all authors - in which case, this could be a list)
'%1',

I looked at a few Wiley Interscience citations and find that %X is either for the abstract or for a note. So, in your array, this would correspond to either 'AB'/'N2' or 'N1'.
Here is an example from Wiley :
%0 Journal Article
%A E. Tekin, E. Holder, D. Kozodaev, U. S. Schubert,
%T Controlled Pattern Formation of Poly[2-methoxy-5-(2?-ethylhexyloxyl)-1,4-phenylenevinylene] (MEH-PPV) by...

Hi
Just updated my version 1.3 installation to version 1.3.2 (the latest). Followed the instructions in UPDATE to the letter (checked for a config_sample.php file - found nothing, so just copied over the old saved one).
Now, when I click on the PDF icon next to any publication, it opens up the following URL :
http://localhost/aigaion/indexempty.php
with the PDF file embedded...
