Again, you either need to create the command /identify yourself in xchat or set the identify = False
The reason you creating the command is your job is because not all servers
1. respond the same
2. prompt the same
So the /identify command you created will be executed else set the variable in the ini to false.

If you have
identify = True
Then YOU need to make the /identify command that will be used for that
Either set identify = False or
setup a custom command named identify in Xchat.

Finch and Ports are both software repositories for installing other GPL software on Macs. Both Finch and Ports have GUIs that can help you discover what's in their respective repositories. If you get Finch installed (as I leave Finch problems to the Finch community) and get X-Chat installed I'll be more then happy to assist you with everything from there.

Well if you want Xchat on your mac there is Finch and Ports. The Ports version of xchat doesn't have python support as it is. The Finch version does. Xchat also runs on Windows and of course Linux.

For Colloquy get the one from the Colloquy site it's the latest. Both work great for me and many other users so it maybe something you're doing or not doing. Catch me on aim or irc and I'll gladly help you out in person time permitting. I've had CancelBot running on Xchat on dalnet since 2005. You do have to make sure you do the things in the readme. Hope to see you online.
