@pail459 @wellread1 @dreichl -- I've been able to confirm that the .kdbx file I'm working with was originally created with KeePassX. The last release of KeePassX will allow you to create a database without a master password. KeePass proper has been able to open such files through to the 2.49 release. The latest releases of KeyPassXC can still open such files. Would KeePass consider re-enabling support for these odd legacy files? Thanks!

@dreichl @pail459 @wellread1 -- As you can see from the above screenshots, I have a "passwordless" database created by the 2.4x series of KeePass that cannot be opened by any version newer than 2.49. Something changed in 2.50 that prevents me from opening this database. I've tested all versions greater than 2.49.

KeePass 2.49 Open Dialog with No Selections and OK Button Enabled

@wellread1 -- The "OK" button remains disabled if the Master Password field is checked and left empty. Older versions allowed the creation of these passwordless databases, but newer versions are unable to open these databases. If databases are still encrypted with empty passwords, then I misspoke in my original bug report. Thanks!

@dreichl -- The suggested method of using an empty Master Password does not work in current releases.
