  • A couple of bug fixes

Hi... I found a couple of problems and fixed them. I used Visual Studio 2008. The fixes are small. 1 - If there are non-ASCII characters in a file, it could cause GC to crash. The fix silently strips non-ASCII characters and continues. 2 - If you specify a path for finding GC.cfg, it would cause a crash. This was because config.c defined the following: char *gz_CfgFileName =...

  • Configure fails with Gnome 2.6

Hi I just built and installed Gnome 2.6 from sources. I've never used Gnome before so I'm rather unfamiliar with how all things are set up. When I try to build Glame 1.0.2, the configure script fails with the following error: checking for gnomeConf.sh file in /opt/gnome/lib... not found configure: error: You need gnome to compile the graphical user interface. Hint: you also need...

  • Compile errors if qt-3.x installed

I have qt-3.1.0 installed on my Linux system. qtools will inclde some files from /opt/qt/include if this is so. The only way to correct this is to rename the directory to something like /opt/qt/include.sav If this is done, then everything compiles cleanly (I did not add --with-doxywizard) John Gluck jgluckca@rogers.com.

  • Why is libaudiofile included???

Hi I notice your source tarball includes libaudiofile. I think this is unnecessary since anyone who has KDE installed already has a copy of libaudiofile installed. John.

  • Need to fix linking

Hi I download the latest source tarball and tried to compile. Things go along well until it tries to link. It repeat many of the libraries several times and even tries to link to libs that are in source directories. I'm not sure how all this happens but as you can see from what's below, it's quite a mess... g++ -DNDEBUG -DNO_DEBUG -O2 -fno-exceptions -fno-check-new -o .libs/kwave...

  • Statistics issue (known issue, see site status)

Hi I have checked the statistics for my project and for some reason they are no longer collected or displayed. The 1st few days I thought it was a glitch of some kind. Have you stopped statistics?? It's nice to check once in a while. If people are downloading your project it's quite encouraging. My project is kossmixer Group is 34384 Thanks John.

  • Your Home Page

Hi May I make a couple of suggestions for your home page. It would be good to put a download link. Some people don't know how sourceforge is setup and may not find the tarball. Also, it would be very nice to say what libraries are prerequisites to compiling the sources. My final comment, the white on black looks sexy but it gets a bit hard on the eyes as you try to read a lot of text.

  • Followup: RE: Crash on startup

Hi This is surprising. You seem to be useing pretty much the same configuration as I use. Same kernel, Qt, KDE, sound card. The only differences possible are your compiler version and things that are specific to SUSE. Also my system is a dual PIII with a dual display but that shouldn't matter. Could you send me a copy of the binary you have so I can try it here. Please use the bug...
