Is there an easy way to downgrade my version of Pydev? I noticed that I am not experiencing this problem on my other machine running 1.4.2, but I also have this problem on both my machines when running 1.4.5.
If I could downgrade, I could do a quick A/B check to see if this fixes the problem.

The console in the debugger just returns nothing. For example, I type "2+2" and then hit enter twice, and no output is returned. It used to return "4".
I just updated my Eclipse to version 3.4 to solve an earlier problem, and this problem still persists.
The error log view did not look like it had any relevant content. I don't know where to look to clear the pyc files...

I had to pull the plug (literally) on a memory-leaking program. When I restarted my computer, Eclipse refused to boot. I renamed my ~/.eclipse/ folder and eclipse did boot, but I had to reinstall Pydev.
Now, I can no longer evaluate expressions in the Pydev debugger. Also, it seems like it takes the debugger longer to start than before. Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Note: code completion boxes also appear in the editor area, but usually not immediately over the typing cursor.

Eclipse: 3.2.2
OS: Ubuntu 8.04 x64
With "use code completion" box unchecked in window/preferences/pydev/editor/code completion, code completion boxes still appear, often immediately over the typing cursor, making it impossible to see what is being typed.

This problem also occurs on my laptop running Ubuntu 8.1 with the 32-bit x86 architecture.

I unchecked the box "use code completion" in the code completion menu under Pydev preferences, it appeared to make no difference. Code completion windows still popped up.
I eventually solved the problem by setting the code completion delay really high.
I don't usually mind code completion, but in Pydev the completion window appears OVER the code I am currently typing, making it...
