This camera was added since the 0.9.2 release.
You should try the latest cvs-build, there is a button right there on the summary page, or use this link:

Hi,
I believe this is a UVC webcam, and thus you do not need macam.
It should work on OS X without any extra drivers.
In the future, macam may support UVC, but it does not yet.
Also, for others watching, get the latest cvs-build if 0.9.2 does not work.

The problem could be other devices (especially hard drives) plugged into the USB bus.
First, try the latest version (most recent cvs-build for now), I think it works much better in restricted bandwidth situations. You only need to run the macam app, you don't even have to put it in the /Applications folder, just run it. If it works, install the component, if not, let me know.

I too would love to know what Photobooth and iChat really want.
I do not have those programs, so I cannot even test for it.
One idea, if you want to try it, is to compile the component with
tracking of calls to the component enabled. I think is set by
default in the Debug configuration, otherwise check the
Preprocessor Macros and set LOG_QT_CALLS to 1

SONiX used to have a driver available for this
controller (SN9C201). You should contact them
and see what happened.

Good posting,
Found good info on google.
It has been added to the PAC7302 driver, it might work in the next release.
(Or you can get the latest CVS source and compile it yourself)
